Let darkness remain part of the design

A display does not need to glow all night. Timers, gentle transitions and a consistent schedule can support a calmer room while respecting the aquarium’s established day-and-night cycle.

Design for the inhabitants

Lighting choices should follow the needs of the species, plants and habitat—not a universal colour recipe. Research each animal and consult a qualified aquatic specialist when conditions are uncertain.

Reduce glare before adding colour

Dark surroundings, controlled reflections and a single viewing angle often create more atmosphere than brighter LEDs. The goal is visibility without turning the tank into a stage light.
